Midlife Feels Different. Your Care Should Too.

Schedule a call to learn more about our practice, and how we can help you reach your health goals.

If you're a woman in midlife dealing with unexplained weight gain, blood sugar issues, or belly fat accumulation, and you've been told it's "just a normal part of aging," you deserve a better answer.

Insulin resistance, visceral fat gain, and body composition changes have real health consequences and are not just something you need to accept. These concerns are treatable. And the best time to treat them is NOW, before you develop more severe health problems. That's my favorite kind of preventative care.

I work with women who are motivated to improve their health in midlife and need expert guidance during this nuanced and often-challenging process. While I can prescribe medications to assist with weight management and metabolic health, this is always accompanied by guidance about the lifestyle changes that will best support your health in midlife.

If you are already trying to be active, already trying to eat well, but your body is changing and you don't want to have to figure everything out alone, this practice is for you. I will help you figure out why, and then build a clear, effective plan to manage it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance? No. This is a direct-pay practice. That allows for longer visits, more individualized care, and fewer insurance constraints. Most labs and prescriptions can still be run through insurance or standard pharmacies.

Can I use HSA or FSA funds? Yes.

Do you prescribe hormone therapy? Yes, when clinically appropriate. We use FDA-approved bioidentical hormone therapy including estradiol and oral micronized progesterone. We do not prescribe testosterone at this time.

Do you prescribe weight loss medications? Yes, when clinically appropriate and as part of a broader treatment strategy, weight loss medications are prescribed.

While we do not fill out prior authorization paperwork to get weight loss medications authorized by insurance, patients have access to manufacturer savings discounts.

Can you be my primary care doctor? This is not a general primary care practice. Patients are encouraged to maintain a separate primary care physician for routine and urgent care needs. This practice is focused exclusively on weight management and metabolic health in midlife women.

How do I know this is for me? If you are a woman in midlife who wants to address the full picture of metabolic health during the menopause transition, this is for you. We will work together on lifestyle changes, nutritional/supplement strategies, and evidence-based medication options to manage your symptoms. All within a supportive, accessible framework that gives you the time and medical attention you deserve.
